Angelica specializes in the development of gender-inclusive agricultural value chains. Angelica is (co)-editor of several publications and toolkits on gender in value chains, and has advised many international organizations in developing gender policies for their economic programs. Angelica has trained and coached professionals of a variety of organisations (like GIZ and FAO) on gender-responsive value chain development, providing training and coaching to staff in classroom settings, and online. Angelica was the facilitator of the gender in value chains network of the AgriProFocus and its online platform agriprofocus.com/gender-in-value-chains.
Angelica has extensive experience in development co-operation, both as an advisor and as manager: 17 years based in Africa, Asia, and Latin America (working for SNV Netherlands Development Organization), and 16 years working from the Netherlands (for ICCO and Fair & Sustainable).
Angelica holds a Master in Human Geography and an International MBA. She is certified as a Capacity Works consultant by GIZ, and combines a communicative and energetic personality with a results-oriented attitude. She has a passion for learning, and extensive experience in the facilitation of communities of learning, with social media and in e-collaboration.
