Annelien is an experienced consultant who has worked in international development for over 12 years. She works on private sector and SME development, Market Systems Development (MSD), entrepreneurship and youth employment, value chain analysis and development, and monitoring and evaluations of development programs. In addition, she is an experienced training designer and facilitator.
Before joining F&S, Annelien has worked as a researcher at Utrecht University, and as freelance consultant for various development organizations. From 2015-2018, Annelien was based in Addis Ababa and worked on private sector and SME development in Ethiopia. Her main work experience is in East, West and North Africa.
Annelien holds a research Master’s degree in Human Geography and Planning (Utrecht University, The Netherlands), with a specialization in International Development Studies.
