Hibiete is an experienced project lead in gender equality, women empowerment, and social inclusion topics, with 15+ years of experience in Ethiopia and abroad. She has experience in the Education sector (Technical Education and Vocational Training Education), Gender and Nutrition, Gender Inclusion in the private sector, and Media.  Across these sectors, Hibiete has played key roles in project design and leading, training, manual preparation, facilitation, research, partnership management, and case study development and story writing. Key topic areas are gender inclusion, women in leadership, gender-sensitive value chain analysis, project evaluation, learning, and documentation. Currently, Hibiete leads and coordinates several projects – among them Tanager/IGNITE (service provider for Ethiopia – gender & nutrition sensitive agriculture program), MDF/KFW (gender mainstreaming in 17 TVET colleges), as well as Strategic advice to SNV (gender inclusion in seven private sectors).

Hibiete holds a Master’s degree in Social Psychology, and a joint diploma in Executive Community Leadership from Jönköping University (Sweden) and Addis Ababa University School of Management. Currently, she is attending a ToT course on Leadership facilitated by Jönköping University and Sustainable Business Management from Sweden Institute Management Program. Hibiete is fluent in English and Native in Amharic.
